ABOUT THE ROLE

The Product Owner Logistics plays a critical role as the link between our central distribution centre based in Ludwigslust, Germany and our global Digital Tech organisation. As this is a new position, you will have the exciting opportunity to make the role your own and build new processes together with stakeholders in the Logistics and Digital Tech teams. You will act as the Product expert for our logistic applications, Logbase and Autostore, as well as coordinate and be the go-to contact for any Digital Tech projects within the distribution centre.

This is a full-time opportunity based in Hamburg or Ludwigslust, Germany that reports directly through to our Head of Business Technology for Common Functions, Henrik Drugge.

You will also be responsible for:

• Meeting with key business process owners and users to answer questions pertaining to the tools and solutions that have been developed.
• Working independently with a focus on continuous improvement within our logistic solutions. Identifying gaps, new opportunities and making recommendations.
• Collaborating with Solution Architects and Management to build agile processes and ensure best practice.
• Supporting the Product Backlog. Assessing required time, costs, and perceived benefits.
• Working together with Developers to assess development needs and implement initiatives as required. Ensuring also to actively track cost, timing, and scopes of new developments as well as communicating and onboarding these developments to the wider organisation.

WHO YOU ARE

• Logistics IT Professional with a customer service focus. 
• Demonstrated experience working in logistics and/or warehousing industry. 
• Bringing a positive, solutions-focused mindset to the team and can easily collaborate with internal and external stakeholders from all walks of life.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and strong communication skills that will see you plan, lead, and implement new processes and ways of working.
• Strong skills in critical thinking with the ability to confidently drive data-based decisions.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively prioritise workload whilst managing several projects at once.
• Previous experience working with Logbase or Autostore would be advantageous.
• Fluency in English and German, both verbal and written.
