Our multi-brand retail group within Fenix Outdoor called Frilufts Retail Europe is seeking a skilled Business Controller to support our operations in Norway. ABOUT THE ROLE

In this dynamic role, your primary responsibility, as the Business Controller for Naturkompaniet Norway, will be managing financial reporting, analysis and budgeting processes. You will also support the wider Finance organization with a broad range of tasks ensuring a varied, challenging and fun role. You will report to the Segment Controller for Frilufts Retail Europe and work closely with the CEO of Naturkompaniet, Norway. 

The position is based from our office in Oslo (potentially Lillehammer), with some travel required to Sweden.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ensure accurate and timely local financial reporting in line with the Fenix Outdoor financial calendar, including relevant analysis.

• Provide sales and cost analysis support to local management.

• Oversee the local budgeting process and manage monthly and quarterly forecasts.

• Participate in local management meetings (both virtual and in-person).

• Handle local financial facility management, including financial assessments for new leases.

• Manage local tax administration, statistics (e.g., import duties), and filings with “Brønnøysundregistrene,” in collaboration with the shared-service team in Sweden.

• Approve local payments and relevant costs in line with the four-eyes principle.

• Act as the main point of contact for authorities and auditors for all Norwegian subsidiaries.

• Oversee contract administration and archiving for relevant local agreements.

WHO YOU ARE

Requirements:

• Demonstrated previous experience as a Business Controller

• A university or college degree at the bachelor or master level within Finance, Business administration, or equivalent

• Strong analytical and strategic skills

• Proficiency in relevant IT software

• Understanding of Financial legislation in Norway.
