ABOUT THE ROLE

Trekitt is looking for a Herefordshire based, enthusiastic, talented, and creative individual to work alongside our buying and merchandising team to plan and develop a strategy to sell our range of premium products. You will be responsible for helping to make sure all our stock is of the highest quality possible, in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantities and at the right price to achieve the best possible margin.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In more detail you will focus on the following:

• Maximise company turnover and profit through selling, ranging and purchasing relevant product ranges across all departments and categories.

• Plan product ranges and prepare sales and stock plans by liaising with directors, buyers, shops, suppliers and distributors.

• Forecast sales and profits, plan budgets and prepare sales forecasts for new ranges.

• Control stock levels based on seasonal forecasts, optimising stock turn, sales volume and overall profitability.

• Maintain a comprehensive and accurate database of company stock.

• Use in-house computer software to manage sales statistics, produce sales projections and present spreadsheets and graphs.

WHO YOU ARE

• Experience in a similar role, ideally with knowledge of the outdoor industry or retail.

• Strong analytical and numerical skills, with good IT proficiency.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to multitask.

• A team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate, build relationships and influence others.

• Confidence in making important decisions under pressure, meeting tight deadlines and working in a fast-paced environment.

• A positive attitude, with the drive and determination to achieve targets.

• A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
